Roles & Responsibilities:

Supervisory Duties:
- Oversee a large number of employees within the F&B department, numerous F&B venues, and multi-million dollars of sales revenue
- Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Adventureland Resort’s core values
- Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team members
- Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all assigned F&B positions and backfill these positions when needed
- Participate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.
- Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with Iowa law
- Assist with team scheduling, timekeeping, and tip allocation activities
Departmental Duties:
- Lead and complete special projects to improve process and operational efficiencies
- Develop the knowledge, experience, judgement, and confidence to perform the duties of an F&B Manager
- Provide operational and administrative support for all aspects of the F&B department
- Participate in all aspects of F&B preparation and sales during peak times
- Establish meaningful working relationships with new and returning managers and employees
- Complete daily documentation, including daily schedules, checklists, time/temperature logs, tracking forms, and employee records
- Identify new opportunities for improving sales and marketing growth in F&B
- Assist with Point-of-Sale (POS) maintenance, including database programming and troubleshooting
- Ensure regulatory compliance and standards enforcement, including Labor Department regulations and food safety practices
- Participate in and conduct weekly department planning meetings
- Work directly with department heads to accomplish tasks
- Assist with the set-up of special events (e.g. Oktoberfest and Phantom Fall Fest)
- Participate in social activities with over one hundred international college students
- All other duties as assigned by leadership
Education and Experience:
- Recent graduate or at least 2+ years undergraduate study in Supply Chain, Hospitality, Business Management, Event Management, or a related major.
- 1+ years of previous work experience, preferably in a related role
- Previous amusement park, theme park, or waterpark experience highly desired
Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
