Position Summary/ Department Summary:
Works under close supervision to provide support to the administrative operations of a clinical service and works to ensure the best possible patient experience by effectively coordinating services to patients and families. Demonstrates interest in and ability to departmental and organizational initiatives & projects with a focus on continuous process improvement. Performs various administrative functions requiring basic knowledge of programs and services. Provides positive and effective customer service that supports departmental and hospital operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide positive customer service by greeting patients, families, and visitors, and by managing inbound and outbound calls.
  • Complete all patient registration, admission, and discharge paperwork, including obtaining signatures, generating labels, and updating patient information.
  • Direct and guide peers/employees by providing accurate information, directions, and follow-up.
  • Prepare for and attend team huddles and shift handoffs to ensure a smooth patient flow.
  • Perform various administrative and clerical duties, such as answering and routing calls, managing mail, activating overhead announcements, and ordering supplies.
  • Resolve equipment issues and initiate requests for safety, security, and cleaning services.
  • Utilize and maintain proficiency in various office technologies and clinical systems.
  • Actively participate in departmental projects and initiatives focused on continuous process improvement.


Minimum Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma / GED

Experience:
No healthcare experience required - Basic customer service and computer skills.

Licensure/ Certifications:
None Required

PER positions are currently eligible for a Sign-on Bonus of $2,000 for full time positions (prorated for part-time positions, internals not eligible)*
