About the role:   

As a Lead Product Designer within our Merchandising UX team, you’ll be at the forefront of Target’s evolving digital experience, shaping it for our guests and contributing to business growth. You will help Target fulfill our purpose from the inside out, working to improve vendor and team member experiences, efficiencies, and clarity across the Merchandising roundtable, external partners, and more. You’ll be responsible for defining, researching, documenting, and improving experiences across people, process, and tools in Merchandising. You’ll continuously engage with product, marketing, business, operations, and data science teams to understand the visible and invisible aspects of the business, identify the largest pain points, and work to identify problems and craft solutions. You’ll plan and conduct discovery activities, create documentation for shared understanding, contribute to experience strategy across service touchpoints and tools, sketch solutions, and build prototypes.  

As a Lead on the Target UX team you will play a crucial role in driving the product development process, ensuring that our designs align with user needs, business objectives, and technological feasibility. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and contribute to UX strategy and vision for product experiences across digital platforms – influencing investment, collaborations, and the balance of new vs. Iteration

  • Use your influence to identify and pursue user-centric outcomes within and across products

  • Effectively facilitate multiple cross functional working teams and collaborate across multiple design and product teams

  • Create design deliverables representative of the design process phase – such as journey maps, wireframes, user flows, UI design an
