What You Will DoWe’re looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join our Eindhoven development team and help build Forescout’s next-generation security products. You’ll collaborate with a team of backend and full-stack engineers to develop innovative, scalable applications in a hybrid environment—both on-prem and in the cloud. If you’re passionate about writing great code, securing global networks, and tackling complex challenges, this role is for you!

Collaborate with developers, DevOps, QA, and product management in an Agile environment.
Research and design new solutions for cybersecurity challenges.
Write, maintain, and review well-structured, high-quality code.
Conduct peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in a Linux-based production environment.
Apply software development best practices to enhance security and efficiency

What You Will Bring To Forescout

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
4+ years of experience developing backend applications in Python.
Strong knowledge of operating systems and container technologies.
Experience with software packaging (e.g., building DEB/RPM packages, managing APT/YUMrepositories).
Excellent communication skills—written and verbal.
Ability to work efficiently with remote teams across different time zones.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Points

Experience in network engineering or cybersecurity.
Knowledge of secure coding principles.
Experience with Java.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
