The Patient Care Director assumes first line leadership responsibility and accountability for managing the delivery of patient care on PreOp/PACU units. Our 14 bed PreOp/PACU areas care for pre and post op surgical patients undergoing various procedure including cardiac, neuro, ortho, gyn, and much more. We have 20 ORs performing all types of procedures for our Level 1 Trauma Center. The PCD facilitates efficient and cost effective daily operations of the unit(s) in relation to patient throughput including admissions, discharges and transfers. Promote a culture of safety and quality by ensuring continuity and consistency in the implementation of established standards, protocols, policies and procedures. In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, participates in the establishment of unit(s) short and long term goals and ensures its alignment with the hospital’s overall strategic goals. Accountable for monitoring staff compliance with regulatory, hospital and divisional requirements. Now, you have the opportunity to join us.

Preferred Criteria
Leadership experience
American Nurses Credentialing Center approved national board Certification
Required Criteria
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Nursing in related field (If currently pursuing a Master’s Degree, must be completed within 1 year of hire). Either bachelors or graduate degree must be in nursing
- Current New York State RN license
- At least 3 years of acute care RN experience in PreOp/PACU, Periop
- Demonstrated leadership competencies
- BLS from AHA

Salary Range:
