Human Resources Intern

Overview:
Katzman Produce, a leader in the wholesale produce industry, is offering a full-time paid summer internship for three highly motivated Human Resources Interns. This opportunity is ideal for high school seniors or college students interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources or Business Administration. Interns will gain valuable hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced HR department, including recruitment, compliance, employee relations, and event planning.

What You’ll Do:
As a Human Resources Intern, you will support the HR team and learn how the department contributes to overall business success. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with recruiting, onboarding, and new hire paperwork
• Supporting employee engagement events and internal programs
• Helping to implement HR policies and compliance procedures
• Creating internal communications such as announcements, flyers, and newsletters
• Performing general administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and data entry
• Answering phones and assisting with employee inquiries
• Supporting the employee Recognition Program
• Creating and updating reports using Excel and BI
• Participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
• Handling other administrative or HR-related duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

• A high school junior/senior or college student with a strong interest in Human Resources
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel for data entry and basic reporting (knowledge of formulas and charts is a plus)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Must be available full-time, Monday–Friday, from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Spanish speaking is a plus
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• If under 18, valid working papers must be provided
