If you’re a seasoned developer with a passion for backend technologies and a dedication to quality, we’d like to meet you.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><b>Build High-Quality Microservices in Python</b>: Develop robust and efficient microservices, ensuring that they meet the highest quality standards.</li><li><b>Design and Implement Functional Requirements</b>: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and refine backend features with a strong focus on maintainability and performance.</li><li><b>Integrate Front-End Components</b>: Seamlessly integrate front-end components into server-side applications while maintaining code integrity and performance.</li><li><b>Manage Testing and Bug Fixes</b>: Ensure comprehensive testing, including unit tests and regression tests, is conducted; manage the identification and resolution of bugs to maintain high-quality software.</li><li><b>Prepare Technical Documentation</b>: Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation for validation in a regulated environment, ensuring clarity and compliance with industry standards.</li><li><b>Coach and Mentor Junior Team Members</b>: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, emphasizing best practices in coding, testing, and documentation.</li><li><b>Implement Software Enhancements and Suggest Improvements</b>: Proactively identify areas for improvement and contribute to the continuous enhancement of the software, focusing on quality and efficiency.</li></ul><p><b>Requirements and Skills:</b></p><ul><li><b>Extensive Experience as a Python Developer</b>: Proven experience in developing and maintaining production-level Python applications with active user bases. Strong focus on writing high-quality code and supporting applications in a live environment.</li><li><b>Expertise in Building and Maintaining APIs</b>: At least 3+ years of experience in building and maintaining robust, scalable APIs.</li><li><b>Strong Initiative and Problem-Solving Skills</b>: Ability to independently research and resolve complex technical challenges, demonstrating strong problem-solving capabilities.</li><li><b>Experience with Python Frameworks</b>: Proficiency in Python frameworks such as Aiohttp, Flask, or FastAPI, with a strong focus on following best practices in software design.</li><li><b>Commitment to Quality through TDD and Unit Testing</b>: Solid experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing frameworks like Pytest, with a focus on ensuring code quality and preventing regressions.</li><li><b>Code Reviews and Quality Documentation</b>: Experience in performing thorough code reviews and writing detailed quality documents to support validation in regulated environments.</li><li><b>Familiarity with Azure or Equivalent Platforms</b>: Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, with an understanding of how to deploy and manage backend services in these environments.</li><li><b>Good Understanding of REST APIs and Asynchronous Applications</b>: Strong practical understanding of RESTful API design and implementation, along with a basic understanding of message brokers, queues, and asynchronous applications.</li><li><b>Experience in Agile/SCRUM Environments</b>: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, with the flexibility to adapt to Stryker’s unique processes.</li></ul><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><b>Knowledge of C++ and Python Bindings</b>: Experience with C++ and Python bindings is a plus.</li><li><b>Experience in Regulated Environments</b>: Previous experience working in regulated industries, particularly in life sciences or healthcare, will be highly regarded.</li><li><b>Understanding of 3D Geometry and Mathematics</b>: A background in 3D geometry and mathematics is advantageous but not required.</li></ul><p></p><p></p>Travel Percentage: 10%<p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p>
