About the role
Primary objective of the job:
• Provides guidance and secretariat/logistic support to MESRA and oversee the operation of MESRA.
• Implements policies and initiatives that promote racial understanding and social cohesion.
• Assists to develop and implement inter-ethnic engagement policies and initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides effective secretariat and logistic support to MESRA and MAECs to ensure their effectiveness.
- Ensures that MESRA operate in accordance to its objectives specified in the MESRA Rules and Regulations.
- Ensures that MESRA comply with the Financial Procedures as stipulated in their Rules and Regulations when they operate their bank accounts.
- Advises MESRA and MAECs on PA policies and initiatives to promote racial harmony and social cohesion.
- Assists MESRA and MAECs in recruiting more Malay volunteers for MAECs and other grassroots organisations.
- Monitors closely on the membership profile of MAECs and on their outreach.
- Work closely with MAECs and MMOs to support M3 framework and its focus areas.
- Ensures MESRA and MAECs organise suitable events with multi-racial participation.
- Ensures MESRA social media are updated regularly.
- Leverages partners to collaborate with MESRA on events benefitting the larger community.
- Assists in coordinating dialogues between Malay Advisers and MAECs/MMOs and follow-up with relevant Ministries and Government agencies on recommendations raised during the dialogues.
- Assists to formulate, implement and review budget for Inter-Ethnic Engagement Section.
- Collates monthly feedback and quick sensing reports on Government policies by MAECs and partners.
- Monitors and replies to requests/complaints made by public on matters pertaining to Inter-Ethnic Engagement section.
Other Duties
Provides effective secretariat and logistic support to MESRA and MAECs to ensure their effectiveness.
Experience
Minimum - Excellent management and leadership qualities and with at least five years working experience.
Desired - Above criteria, plus at least one year working experience in the PA.
