Job Description

Curinos is looking for a Senior Data Architect to lead and grow a cross-functional team of data engineers, software developers, QA engineers to build reusable data foundation components, accelerate cloud migration and develop industry-leading highly scalable analytics platforms and other data products for our Deposits Pricing product line. This product suite serves our financial institution customers and includes a robust BI and Analytics platform enabling pricing strategy, portfolio optimization, flow of funds analysis, and proprietary peer comparative analytics.

In this role you will help build the next generation of decisioning platforms for retail and commercial deposits pricing by leveraging a rich data/analytics ecosystem and a modern cloud-native tech stack on AWS. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineering leadership, product management, analytical leaders, and other business stakeholders to build new innovative products, introduce new cloud technologies, mentor/coach junior team members and execute an ambitious product roadmap.

This position is a hybrid position, with the ideal candidate able to travel to our Manhattan or Toronto office occasionally for working sessions or team meetings

We are looking for an experienced hands-on Senior Data Architect to drive the architectural direction and implementation of our deposits pricing platform for multiple lines of business.

The salary range for this role is 198K-220K.

Qualifications

Candidates should have the following background, skills, and characteristics:

• Experience leading high performing, geographically dispersed technical teams
• Working knowledge of Data Engineering, Software Engineering and ML best practices
• Experience launching scalable SaaS Platforms on AWS (or some other public cloud)
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering/cloud architecture, with 2+ years as an architect  
• Proven experience working with MS SQL based ETL processes and Databricks based ETL Processes
• Experience in Scala/Java, SQL and Python with a high degree of proficiency
• Knowledge of Spark internals and distributed computing
• Experience with enterprise data platforms like Databricks
• Demonstrated expertise in architecting and implementing complex business logic
• Working knowledge of machine learning techniques and embedded AI to solve data quality challenges is a bonus
• Experience rolling out Java based microservices and Single Page Apps like Angular will be a plus
• Strong project management and organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelors or advanced degrees (Masters or PhD) degree, preferably in Computer Science, or Engineering field
