POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Workday Reporting Developer creates and maintains reports in support of the HR team and other key stakeholders. This position collaborates with other functional workstreams and team members to develop requirements that meet the user needs. This role is also responsible for adhering to the report request process, along with the overall organization and identification of existing reports. The Senior Workday Reporting Developer works with management and staff to improve existing reporting processes and assists in providing technical support and maintenance of business software and related procedures.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops reports, dashboards and metrics to provide key stakeholders information and insights.
- Performs development changes, creates test scripts, and tests to ensure all processes work according to pre-determined goals.
- Analyzes reporting requirements to determine development methods, development templates, and report design.
- Builds and maintains reports and calculated fields in Workday.
- Uses best practices and industry standards in developing custom reports.
- Analyzes user requests to research to leverage Workday delivered reports.
- Designs and develops accurate dashboards, reports, presentations and visual aids for on demand access through Workday.
- Assists with changes to Workday security related to delivery of reports.
- Adheres to change management documentation to satisfy the Company's audit controls.
- Identifies gaps and uses critical thinking to analyze the most proficient way to fix reporting gaps.
- Serves as functional support for HR technology gathering requirements, writing business process procedures and systems integration documentation.
- Works with internal and external groups to identify, schedule and test reporting changes to the systems.
- Consults with end users on high level and complex reporting solutions; Designs, develops, tests and promotes reports.
- Proactively shares knowledge with team to achieve objectives, analyze improvements, and better customer satisfaction.
- Reviews software release notes related to reporting and assists with the development plan of testing to manage risks before they are moved to a production environment.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical knowledge and experience with all forms of advanced Workday reporting and integrations (Matrix, Dashboards, Composite, XML, BIRT.
- Workday reporting experience.
- Experience with creating queries using multiple query tools.
- Experience with system development life cycle.
- Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret HR systems technical and procedural documentation.
- Strong ethics and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills across various levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects and work in high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- An understanding of human resources concepts, processes, laws and procedures is very helpful.
- Must be able to work independently or collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.
- Experience building PowerBI Dashboards for enterprise use.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of in-depth, hands-on reporting experience.
- PC software knowledge and skills, including Excel complex formulas, MS Project, Visio, Access, PowerPoint and Crystal reporting (required).
This is a remote role, however we are looking for candidates in Arizona who can come to our headquarters for key meetings from time-to-time.
