Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Senior Architect to join our Sports Team and to primarily work on sports related projects.
The Senior Architect will be responsible for the following items:
- Responsible for providing architectural guidance, calculations, analysis, studies and recommendations for a specialized segment of the Architectural Discipline within the schedules and budget of an assigned project.
May manage various size groups of architects, designers and/or specialists - May work on modest size projects and/or assist Project Architectural or Engineering Managers with higher grades
- Managing and overseeing multiple projects at various stages of development from the Schematic Design/Conception phase through to Design Development, Construction Drawings, Bidding/Contract Negotiation, Construction Administration and Closeout phases making sure that project teams meet quality, schedule, contractual, and budget goals
- Develop solutions to complex technical problems in the execution of sports related project and other public and private sector projects
- Manage relationships and communications with clients, vendors and contractors including design and construction project meetings
- Lead in the management and preparation of proposals for architectural projects including the development of work effort estimates
- Lead planning documents and project definition for project delivery
- Ensure project designs meets all local building codes and federal guidelines
- Establish & maintain project design schedule and timeline milestones
- Develop, review & monitor project design budgets and schedules
- Assist with and review estimates for assigned projects
- Maintain project records and files, including correspondence, drawings, and other design documents
- Review construction documents for compliance with client/project requirements
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of all drawings and specifications as part of an organized QA/QC process
- Provide Leadership and mentorship of staff and internal project team

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS in Architecture plus six (6) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Architecture License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Architecture
- Proficient in B.I.M, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Auto CAD
- 5 years of experience working on sports related projects of different scopes and sizes is highly preferred
