R&D Food Scientist (replacement for maternity leave)

Team Leader. This position is located in Santiago de Chile <h3>RESPONSABILITIES </h3> <ul> <li>Collaborate closely with all company functions to drive revenue growth, operational efficiencies, and product uniqueness across all NotCo products.</li><li>Ensure that our products maintain a superior position compared to competitors in the markets where we operate.</li><li>Take responsibility for working closely with the machine learning team and research team on product development and improvement projects.</li><li>Design and develop new products aligned with business objectives.</li><li>Utilize expertise in product development, both from personal experience and from suppliers, to ensure successful industrialization and launches that meet project brief requirements.</li><li>Conduct laboratory-scale and/or pilot experiments for food prototyping and ingredient validation.</li><li>Provide feedback on experiments and trials to project teams and AI.</li><li>Propose process and product improvements based on experimental results at the laboratory and pilot scale.</li><li>Engage in scientific communication activities and stay updated on the latest research technologies in the field.</li></ul> <h3>REQUIREMENTS</h3> <ul> <li>Minimum of 1 year or more of progressive R&amp;D experience in plant-based food products, including successful execution of plant-based food products such as meat analogs and/or dairy alternatives.</li><li>Bachelor's degree in food engineering, food science, engineering in biotechnology, or a related discipline.</li><li>Proficiency in English is required.</li><li>Experience working in a consumer food company, particularly in product development and experimental design.</li><li>Thrives in a startup environment, eager to develop new procedures and processes from scratch, and demonstrates a strong entrepreneurial mindset.</li><li>Problem-solving attitude with a proactive approach to completing tasks.</li><li>Strong planning and execution skills, with the ability to provide clear examples of their application.</li><li>Demonstrates rigorous data-driven and analytical capabilities, and can effectively present data to leadership teams.</li><li>Works well in teams and cross-functional groups in a matrixed environment, both regionally and globally.</li><li>Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic and evolving culture.</li><li>Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.</li></ul>if our purpose and way of working vibrate with you, and you want to be part of this story, apply to join this squad.<br/>WHY NOT!
