You will oversee Akamai's editorial strategy, ensuring a unified brand voice representing cloud and cybersecurity leadership. Content responsibilities include blogs, ad copy, campaigns, and creative materials across diverse channels. Expertise in tone and clarity will guide impactful, claims-based storytelling to enhance brand messaging and engagement.

As a Director Editorial Strategy, you will be responsible for:

• Establishing and guiding global editorial standards, ensuring marketing content aligns with a cohesive brand voice and identity.
• Creating and executing unified editorial strategies aligning across Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Branding.
• Managing editorial programs such as blogs, thought leadership, executive bylines, and advertising copy for strategic alignment.
• Developing strategies for web content, crafting cohesive journeys, and claims-based messaging to enhance awareness, understanding, conversion
• Establishing and upholding editorial guidelines across all marketing outputs to maintain consistency, clarity, and brand integrity.
• Collaborating with internal groups and external partners, scaling editorial impact while ensuring quality and consistency globally.
• Staying updated on evolving editorial methods and technologies, including AI and LLMs, to enhance digital presence.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 12 years of experience in content marketing, or brand journalism and a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Have proven success managing editorial programs in a corporate or B2B environment.
• Be compelling at writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a passion for clarity and persuasion
• Have experience navigating working in matrixed organizations and cross-functional team.
• Be experienced with digital platforms, paid media, and social channels.
• Be experienced using generative AI editorial tools and related guidelines and usage
• Have a collaborative style and a passion for great writing and storytelling
