OnsiteThe Employee Relations Partner (ERP) supports the Foley, AL manufacturing site through the development and execution of positive employee relations strategies. By closely partnering with both HR Business Partner and the Employee & Labor Relations COE, ERPs are experts in critical employee relations processes and techniques. The ERP will courageously approach conflict and generate creative solutions. They will have high emotional intelligence and be comfortable navigating ambiguous situations. With exceptional collaboration and conflict resolution skills, the ERP will advocate for employees and ensure the work environment is reflective of Collins/ RTX values and policies.
This role will be worked onsite in Foley, AL. One day a week remote pending business needs. Relocation assistance is available.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage employee relations issues
Leverage insights and best practices to develop and execute positive employee relations strategies at the site level
Has a bias for action to proactively address common themes and potential issues
Build and maintain trusted employee relationships
Communicate effectively with multiple levels of leadership including frontline employees and executives
Advise and assist managers in the performance management process (including supporting managers through the “Performance Success Plan” process)
Perform organizational health assessments to identify workplace strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and partner on action plan to prioritize and mitigate risk
Collaborate with, and occasionally lead, other functions such as EH&S, Global Trade, E&C, Security, and Legal on complex ER issues
Research and investigate complex employee relations issues and provide timely remediation recommendations, if needed
Manage continuous improvement projects to deliver value back to the business
Embody, influence and drive the Collins culture throughout the business
Develop and deploy best practices and tools for the ERP network across all business functions
Develop and deploy leadership trainings to align business objectives with to ensure compliance
Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment regulations including EEO/AAP
Primarily on-site work assignment.
Travel up to 5-10%; domestic.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 10 years of relevant experience
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position
Previous experience supporting employee relations
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to coach, consult and influence leaders regarding the importance of good people practices
Ability to build trusting relationships with all organizational levels
Experience working in a manufacturing environment that is highly matrixed
HR certification (SHRM-CP or PHR)
Experience with conflict resolution and mediating between parties
