Overview of Role

66degrees is seeking a senior contractor to engage on a 28 week remote assignment for 40 hours per week with potential to extend. Interested candidates should have the following required skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. 

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of backend experience in developing cloud-native applications
• Required skills: 
• Java 
• Spring, Spring Boot
• Practical GCP experience/Cloud Native
• Experience in microservice architecture
• Experience in event-driven architecture
• Nice to have skills: 
• Understanding of Containerization (Kubernetes) and orchestration
• Understanding of CI/CD pipeline and proficiency in CI/CD tools – GitLab CI
• API Integration/Development (Restful API) 
• GCP Architect or Developer Certifications is a nice to have
• Background in professional services / consulting.
• Strong communication skills.
• Eagerness to work in a teamwork/collaborative environment.
