Job Description
Highnote is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead product development across our fraud prevention and risk tooling ecosystem. This role will own end-to-end transaction risk and fraud strategy—spanning real-time fraud prevention for card issuance and acquiring, as well as post-transaction monitoring tools for internal risk teams and external risk visibility for our platform customers.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that blends fraud strategy, product design, and technical execution to keep our platform secure while delivering a seamless experience. You’ll collaborate with engineering, data science, compliance, operations, and design to develop solutions that prevent fraud, support internal decisioning, and empower our customers with real-time risk insights.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Spearhead the development and execution of the product roadmap for Highnote's Compliance, Risk, and Fraud Prevention platform, encompassing issuing, acquiring, and credit product lines.
- Formulate product strategy, translate it into actionable plans, and manage the end-to-end execution of key initiatives—ensuring a balance between security, speed, and customer experience.
- Improve AI-powered fraud prevention features, rules engines, and decisioning logic to proactively detect and prevent fraudulent activity across Highnote’s product lines.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and strategy planning to product launch and expansion.
- Create and deliver dashboards, reports, and insights that enable platform clients to monitor fraud patterns and effectively manage their risk posture.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities and inform prioritization.
- Maintain flexibility and adaptability to respond to industry trends in fraud prevention and compliance management.
Minimum requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on risk, fraud, or compliance tools
- Domain Expertise: Extensive experience in risk management, fraud prevention, or financial compliance, ideally in card issuing and acquiring.
- Execution Excellence: Proven ability to deliver high-quality products quickly, even when faced with ambiguity or complexity.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: History of collaborating with cross-functional teams to define metrics and drive decision-making, while iterating based on performance and customer feedback.
- Strategic & Tactical Balance: Ability to set strategy and delve into product detail—from designing user journeys to overseeing edge cases.
- User-Centric Thinking: A champion of excellent UX for both internal risk ops teams and external customers, with close partnership with Design to build intuitive interfaces.
- Communication & Influence: Excellent at working across functions and translating complex technical or risk concepts into clear, actionable insights.
- Ownership Mindset: Treats product areas like your own business—driving outcomes, rallying teams, and taking full accountability for success.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience owning fraud prevention for both merchant acquiring and card issuing
- Prior experience managing daily risk initiatives, product requirements, and incidents across a range of internal and external partners
