Court Supervisor - Juvenile Probation

• Supervises and reviews the work of Court Liaisons.
• Reviews Court Liaison’s cases prior to court and transfer to Field.
• Conducts regular staff meetings with Court Liaisons; Assigns cases.
• Attends administrative staff meetings and trainings as required.
• Conducts drug testing as required by Courts.
• Serves as member of screening panel for selection of new employees.
• Prepares annual performance evaluations.
• Instructs, trains and monitors performance of Court Liaisons.
• Assists the Director in case auditing on a quarterly basis.
• Serves as liaison between department and local law enforcement.
• Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or other state approved related field.
• Five years job related experience.
• Management and supervisory skills.
• Computer skills; organizational skills and ability to complete assigned projects in a timely manner; ability to prioritize own and other’s work.
• Verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with others.
• Valid Texas Driver License.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Eligible to be a Certified Juvenile Probation Officer.
• On call 24-hours per day; subject to irregular work hours.

SALARY: $3,559.20 biweekly
CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position

*This position is eligible for additional compensation based upon state supplement and certification pay.

An applicant may not have any of the following disqualifying criminal history:

1) A felony conviction against the laws of this state, another state, or the United States within the past 10 years; a deferred adjudication for a felony against the laws of this state, another state, or the United States within the past 10 years or current felony probation or parole.

2) A jailable misdemeanor conviction against the laws of this state, another state or the United States within the past 5 years; a deferred adjudication for a jailable misdemeanor against the laws of this state, another state, or the United States within the past 5 years or current misdemeanor probation or parole.

3) Registered as a sex offender under Chapter 62, Texas Code of Criminal Procedure.
