Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse Nights Shift

The Columbia Retirement Community, a life plan community, is seeking an LPN Staff/Charge Nurse that is looking for a rewarding experience working with senior adults.

The LPN Staff/Charge Nurse responsibilities are:

• Overall nursing care/service on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency calls.
• Assists the care plan team as directed by the Director of Nursing (DON), with the preparation, implementation, and review and updating of resident assessments and care plans.
• Gives and receives shift reports.
• Rounds periodically throughout shift to assure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
• Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in resident’s condition.
• Schedules and assigns residents to all nursing attendants during your shift and on your units; giving each attendant specific directive as to the duties to be performed
• Follow- up on their work assignments to assure proper completion

Requirements

Minimum requirements for this position are a valid SC Nursing license and CPR certification. Experience in long term care and electronic medical records is preferred.
