Job Description
 

Gilead's mission is to discover, develop, and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses

worldwide. As a (Sr Associate I), you are responsible for:

Job Responsibilities

  • Supports the technical transfer of new products to site.
  • Supports and drives yield improvements on site.
  • Supports and/or coordinates internal and cross-functional projects & investigations with limited direction.
  • Independently plans and executes assigned experiments or trials that support manufacturing activities and project goals.
  • Writes and executes SOP’s, protocols and reports related to process and analytical development.
  • Contributes to and may lead technical investigations of process deviations and assessment of their impact on product quality.
  • Presents data to applicable departments on the outcome of investigations or optimization activities.
  • Seeks areas for improvement/ optimization and leads the execution of these.
  • Contributes to and leads technical investigations of process deviations, and assessment of their impact on product quality.
  • Defines requirements for, and reviews master batch records.
  • Liaises with manufacturing groups to deliver new and improved drug products and processes.
  • Can lead one or more specific components of departmental strategic initiatives.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of scientific and engineering principles in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates strong computer, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Experience working in biopharmaceutical development labs, performing wet chemistry and analytical studies.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience OR
  • Master’s Degree with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an FDA-regulated facility is preferred.
  • Experience working in an Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) organization is preferred.


 

The salary range for this position is: $86,275.00 - $111,650.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
