Registered Special Procedures Technician Coordinator

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Special Procedures Technician Coordinator with our Byrd Center Cardiovascular Department. 

 

Under the general direction of the Director of Outpatient Cardiology, the Registered Special Procedures Technician Coordinator will accurately and efficiently perform, record, and report echocardiographic studies to aid the physician in diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease. 

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required. 
• Junior College/Technical School required. 
• AHA BLS required. 
• Registered in Adult Echocardiography required. 
• Registered in Vascular Sonography preferred. 
• 1 to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience preferred. 

The kind of position-related experience includes:

• Skills and competencies for providing extensive non-invasive cardiac studies as well as assisting the physician with invasive cardiac studies

• Proficient in performing and/or assisting the physician in the following special procedures:
• Echocardiogram (2D, M-Mode, Doppler, Doppler color-flow for neonate, pediatric, and adult)
• Typing
• Windows proficiency and other computer skills.
• Organizational skills
• Adaptable to changeable working circumstances, while maintaining a caring and patient manner.
