Accenture Federal Services (AFS) Global Mobility Services (GMS) team is seeking an experienced Federal Global Mobility & Immigration Manager to support AFS international travelers and expats worldwide. The GMS Manager will have a strong background in U.S. Federal contractor international travel requirements and immigration. They will be responsible for development and support of end-to-end mobility, travel, and relocation programs. Additionally, the Mobility Manager will be responsible for developing operational procedures and policies. The Mobility Manager will liaise with AFS leadership to plan for international business travel, partner with AFS corporate teams, and external vendors to support international business travel. They will partner with internal stakeholders to improve and enhance employee mobility experience, cost containment, reporting data, and systems interfacing. 

 

Responsibilities: 

• Understand and educate stakeholders on U.S. Federal contractor international travel and immigration requirements, including application of Status of Forces Agreements (SOFA) and required filings, Department of Defense Foreign Clearance Guide applicability, and local country immigration requirements for Asia, Africa, Europe, and the UK 
• Advise international project leads and employees on policy and processes, analyze market trends, and recommend new policy and practices 
• Develop mobility and international travel best practices for Federal contractors 
• Research, develop, and apply policies and programs ensuring compliance with local country immigration, benefits, and tax requirements for U.S. Federal contractors 
• Develop SOPs, process workflows, agreements, policies, and operational procedures
• Lead cross-functional mobility operational groups and ensure deliverables are completed as needed
• Serve as a day-to-day contact and resource for AFS international projects, Contract Management, Legal, Finance, assignees, third-party vendors, Accenture Mobility, and other stakeholders
• Process or coordinate the preparation and submission of firm-sponsored visa applications based on local country requirements
• Identify areas of opportunity within our current mobility and immigration processes to level-up the overall experience for stakeholders
• Provide support and services during relocations, repatriations, and while on assignment including providing cost analysis, expatriate orientations, vendor coordination, etc.
• Analyze expatriate benefits, allowances, and other assignment-related issues
• Support AFS GMS special projects as needed 

 

Here's What You Need:

• 10 years prior U.S. Federal contractor HR/international HR, contracts management, or legal experience with a minimum of five years of dedicated experience with Federal contractor international travel and mobility support. Prior experience must include application of Status of Forces Agreements (SOFA) and required filings, Department of Defense Foreign Clearance Guide applicability, and local country immigration requirements for Asia, Africa, Europe, and the UK
• Project Management experience with skills and behaviors that ensure key deliverables are delivered within required timeframes. Must have the ability to manage moving parts and impacted stakeholders
• Prior experience with writing policies and procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively interface with HR team members, AFS leadership, and Government stakeholders to ensure immigration & mobility processes are delivered seamlessly
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to work across multiple time zones
• Ability to manage upward to meet key deliverables and timelines
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Prior supervisory experience
• Experience navigating tax- and payroll-related global mobility issues is a plus
