Ultrasound Technologist - PT Nights (66042)

The Sonographer will perform examinations on selective portions of the anatomy as requested by the clinician. The Sonographer is expected to perform a variety of general and vascular ultrasound procedures with knowledge, skill and accuracy for the purpose of obtaining diagnostic quality studies. Responsible for obtaining patient history and appropriate clinical information to aid in proper diagnostic correlation. Must be able to work scheduled and “on-call” hours, if necessary.

Must follow accepted safety practices for patients and the hospital.
Must report safety hazards and initiate appropriate action.
Must participate in safety instructional programs.
Must participate in all hospital and Imaging Services mandatory programs and meetings.
Pleasantly greets patients, confirming their identification.
 

Education: Graduate of an accredited ultrasound training program as evidenced by verification through the ARDMS registry.
Experience: At least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment is preferred.

Licenses/Certificates: ARRT in Ultrasound or RDMS or RVT required within 18 months of hire.
