About the role

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Assist in development and implementation of a comprehensive program of health services for the school. Responsible for providing direct health services to students. Promote health education and preventive health practices for students. Serve as health advocate for students.
  
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education/Certification:
  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program.
 
Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas as issued by the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas.
  • Certified in CPR, audiometric and vision screening
  • Must have car, driver’s license, and liability insurance
 
Experience:
  • Two years Registered Nurse experience, preferably in school/community health OR
  • New graduate registered nurse with experience in school health utilizing other credentials.
 
CALENDAR: 187 work days

SALARY: 
Minimum - $52,386
