Hospitalist, Texas Children's Pavilion for Women, Obstetrics and Gynecology (Assistant Professor)

Summary

Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is seeking a highly qualified physician to join the Obstetric and Gynecologic Hospitalists section within the Division of Gynecologic and Obstetric Specialists at the Texas Children's Hospital Pavilion for Women (PFW).

Job Duties

• Responsibilities will be assigned by the Chair and Division Director and may be altered in response to changing Departmental and Division needs.
• The candidate will be expected to work approximately twelve, 12-hour clinical shifts per month at the Pavilion for Women at Texas Children's Hospital. There will also be an expectation to participate in research and educational activities in the department.
• All faculty are expected to participate in the educational mission of the College.
• The candidate must agree to discharge their duties and responsibilities faithfully, to abide by all rules, regulations, and policies, and to devote to the performance of your duties and responsibilities the amount of time and effort for which they are employed by the College.
• Will be allowed to spend up to 20% effort on activities outside BCM (consulting, scientific board service, etc.). However, outside time commitments beyond this require prior approval of the Chair and Division Director.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Must have an MD degree. Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) OR completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology and eligible to sit for certification with the ABOG.
• Required Certification/Licenses/Registration: Unrestricted license to practice medicine from the Texas Medical Board.
