YWCA Dayton, a 24-hour organization dedicated to the elimination of racism and the empowerment of women, seeks an energetic, dedicated person to be an integral part of our team. The Assistant Director of Facilities is an Exempt level position working 40 plus hours weekly with some evenings and weekend activities. The Assistant Director of Facilities is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s operations resources, facilities, maintenance and food program needs are met and upheld to the highest standards. This person supports the vision, mission and values of YWCA Dayton. 

PRIMARY 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Assistant Director of Facilities plans and oversees operations project management for facilities, maintenance and all YWCA Dayton properties; will provide operational guidance and strategic planning as well as budget development for Facilities; provide assistance to facilities, maintenance and operations team to ensure timeliness and compliance; manages ongoing and preventative maintenance of all YWCA Dayton owned and operated buildings, infrastructures and equipment and supervises department staff ensuring training related to specific job tasks and responsibilities; ensures facility operations are within EPA, HUD, ADA and local health department requirements, executes on budget and complies with funding guidelines; oversees major vendor management contracts and relationships; other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES: 

· Customer Focus: Demonstrated knowledge of building systems, code, and general maintenance practices; understanding of racial equity and social justice issues and a demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of those we serve. 

· Effective Communication: Good written and oral presentation skills, with an ability to relate to diverse groups and stakeholders; demonstrates collaboration, demonstrated effective working relationships.

· Mission Understanding: Demonstrated understanding of racial equity and social justice issues and a demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of those we serve.

Requirements

Must have minimum of 4 years maintenance related operations, project management, supervision and management experience, equipment repair, plumbing, heating, hvac, painting, carpentry; professional cleaning experience preferred; must be able to lift up to 50lbs; Assoc. Degree in project management or related; preferred. an active driver’s license and clean driving record with proof of insurance; 6 plus years project management, operations, facilities and maintenance experience in lieu of degree.
