Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Computational Research Senior Technician to support data-driven research at the intersection of hematology, immunology, and cancer biology. This position is ideal for individuals with strong quantitative or computational skills who are interested in applying multiomic approaches to biologically and clinically meaningful questions.

The Computational Research Senior Technician will work in close collaboration with the PI and wet-lab scientists to analyze and integrate diverse datasets, including bulk and single-cell sequencing, epigenomic, spatial, and publicly available multi-omic data. A defining feature of this role is its tight integration with experimental research, offering the opportunity to directly shape hypotheses, guide experimental design, and translate complex datasets into mechanistic insight.

This position provides substantial opportunities for intellectual engagement, skill development, and co-authorship on high-impact publications. It is well suited for candidates planning careers in computational biology, data science, biomedical research, or medicine, and for those seeking deep exposure to interdisciplinary, translational cancer research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and integration of multi-omic datasets (e.g., bulk and single-cell sequencing, epigenomic and spatial data)
  • Curation and analysis of public datasets and clinical cohorts
  • Statistical analysis, data visualization, and figure generation for manuscripts and presentations
  • Close collaboration with wet-lab scientists to interpret results and inform experimental strategies
  • Development of reproducible and well-documented analysis workflows

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with R and/or Python; familiarity with high-dimensional biological data strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • We are looking for individuals who value scientific rigor, integrity, and collaboration, and who are excited to work at the interface of computation and experimental biology to address fundamental questions with direct clinical relevance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in data science, computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with immunology or oncology datasets.
  • Familiarity with high-dimensional data analysis (e.g., flow cytometry, RNA-seq).
