With us, you will shape a career that is truly forward-facing with many amazing opportunities and offerings to match.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>We are expanding rapidly and have an exciting opening for an experienced <strong>Senior</strong> <strong>Controller (m/f/d)</strong> to join our Duesseldorf based German finance team of Business Area Europe (BA E).</p><p>The team is responsible for Business Controlling, Performance Managment und Financial reporting of all BA E activities in Germany. These include the development of renewable projects (wind, solar, battery) as well as the operation and management of wind, biomass, gas-fired and hydro assets and the development activities related to those assets. The position gives insight into the whole activity range of BA E in Germany and covers a wide range of controlling and reporting task. We are looking for an experienced all-rounder, who has the big picture in control, but is having at the same time the details in the structure in order. The person will work closely with the BA E central Performance Management team in Oslo/London and the Business Controller team in Germany. The open position reports to the VP Finance Germany BA E.</p><p>Key activities and responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Help the team with your experience to drive business performance and create value through the development of adequate business controlling tools and processes.</li><li>Develop and enable transparent reporting and follow-up of our activities through ample master data set-up as well as fair allocation of external and internal costs</li><li>Support Performance management process throughout the year including target setting, budgeting and forecasting as well as adequate target/actual-analysis</li><li>Prepare together with Business Controllers and VP Finance BA E various reporting packages (Business Reviews, Financial Reporting) and the improvement of such reporting</li><li>Participate in or lead improvement and other projects</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Several years of experience in a Controlling or comparable function, preferably in an international company</li><li>University degree in business administration, accountancy, finance or a comparable education combined with extensive experience in the field</li><li>Very good knowledge and understanding of Controlling processes and tools</li><li>Analytical, process- and result-oriented</li><li>Ability to effectively cooperate and build relationships across functions</li><li>Independent self-starter, thus good team player with openness to continuous learning and improvement</li><li>Good communication skills in English, ideally also in German</li><li>Strong interest and affinity for systems</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>A career with Statkraft is a career filled with purpose – meaning that every employee is not just making a living, they are making a real difference to the planet, our communities and the future.
