The REH Americas Regional Director, will report directly to the REH Country Market Director for the Americas with dual reporting lines to the REH Americas Operations Director and Markets & Growth Director. This individual will be responsible for the oversight and management of day-to-day operations; financial performance including P&L and budgets; oversight of all applicable people processes, comprising talent acquisition, talent development, staff reductions and dismissals, rewards and recognition, employee engagement and satisfaction, and workforce planning for a regional business unit (BU). A strong leader who will be responsible for 175 to over 200 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) staff. Based on the size of this BU, a strong preference will be given for the physical presence of the successful candidate within the region. The Regional Director will also be an accomplished leader, seller-doer and client manager that will continue to work on their practice/book of business while successfully leading the BU. It is expected that 60 to 75% of time will be associated with the Regional Director position, to be determined in consultation with Division Management.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees and manages financial results of the BU, including Profit & Loss (P&L) and revenue growth, relative to annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Develops and implements appropriate proactive measures to address unsatisfactory performance and improve results.
- Works with Division Management in planning and developing annual budgets and periodic forecasts for the BU.
- Works with Division Management in developing and executing business strategies to achieve short- and long-term goals.
- Establishes a work environment that emphasizes employee engagement, problem solving, accountability, collaboration, and team results. Advocates for and champions on-going efforts for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion throughout the BU and corporation.
- Develops growth and succession plans for direct reports to ensure development of successors of critical skills and positions.
- Supports and/or leads strategic/key proposals, including contract and teaming arrangements and negotiations through collaboration within and between the markets.
- Understands the organization and provides ongoing advice/mentorship to employees regarding their current and future career opportunities. Aligns employees with priority initiatives and growth opportunities.
- Coaching, mentoring, and guiding the employees to be accountable for their own career development. Aligning employees with other mentors, particularly when technical, project management, or client management mentoring is needed to collaboration with the mentor’s expertise.
- Advocates and communicates company plans, needs, and purposeful change to employees. Helps employees to understand the purpose and value of changes, and how they affect their roles.
- Responsible for implementation of company strategy as well as development of regional marketing and strategic plans consistent with firm goals.

- Ensures that Ramboll’s governance and HSEQ processes are implemented within the Unit.
- Communicates, explains and implements (as necessary) new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for major changes, meets with Regional Directors to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
- Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community and champions EDI commitments.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
