About the role

As a member of the Media Production Department, the Senior Motion Design and Post Producer is responsible for leading the planning and execution of impactful multimedia content focusing on linear media (motion design/CG, live-action, post-production, and audio), the Producer collaborates with teams on a diverse range of multidisciplinary projects. In this position, the Producer provides media project management and oversight for budgets and schedules, while maintaining design excellence. They collaborate with the Creative Directors to support the creative vision and lead the media team on projects. Producers whose experience is based in concept design, motion design, visual effects, and post-production are a good match for the primary responsibilities of this role.

Requirements


  • Managing projects of various scales and types – focusing on motion design pipelines of work (2D and 3D design and animation). Program types range from web and mobile to interactive installations and large scale exhibition motion graphics and media programs.
  • Planning and creating production workflow schedules from concept design development to delivery and install.
  • Coordinating collaboration across multidisciplinary teams - Visual Experience Design (Graphic Production), Physical Design (Architecture and Exhibit design), Content (Research, Strategy and Writing) and Software (Custom interactive development and production); often in concert with a Project Director/Manager and/or Coordinator.
  • Producing media projects with in-house teams
  • Vetting vendor partners as needed, negotiating and managing those relationships and the work product.
  • Maintaining accurate and highly detailed budgets
  • Utilizing all project resources efficiently, to proactively communicate and manage or avoid change orders and timeline extensions.
  • Suggesting and/or managing vendors and/or artist freelancer holds and bookings, with LP HR.
  • Managing resources and ensuring a strong line of communication between teams and all support departments.
  • Anticipating issues and proactively communicating them to supervisors or department heads.
  • Providing answers to clients technical queries or liaising with creative or technical staff as appropriate to provide requested information.
  • Monitoring and reviewing project demands on creative artists and ensuring that they have sufficient support staff and resources for each project.
  • Advising clients and other stakeholders on design development, process, and post-production techniques and shooting requirements.
  • Monitoring and ensuring the most effective use of the company’s technical, creative and resources to deliver a successful outcome on projects.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in managing the workflow of time-based media
  • Understanding of common and large file formats and resolutions, and managing and tracking high volumes of deliverables

Education/Experience:

  • 5-7+ years of professional experience, or an outstanding demonstration of experience as a media motion/post producer
  • Project managing motion design, 3D or animation, visual effects and post production
  • Experienced in structuring and holding working sessions and presentations
  • Understanding of and experience in producing design systems for digital and built environments

Bonus Points

  • Experience with project organization software: 10,000FT, Smartsheet, Airtable, and/or Keynote
  • Experience or understanding, customization interactive software, and Unity workflow is a plus

Additional Requirement:

  • Travel required (domestic and global)

Salary Range:

100K to 130K (commensurate with experience)
