A Day in The Life Of:

• Manages teams, oversees performance, and drives talent development to align with strategic goals.
• Mentors, coaches, conducts performance reviews, and prioritizes initiatives to meet organizational objectives.
• Create local Environmental, Health and Safey Strategy that aligns with corporate EHS objectives.
• Manage and monitor key EHS performance indicators.
• Prepares environmental impact reports for construction projects, plant processes, and permit changes.
• Reviews environmental documents from regulatory agencies and collaborates on corrective action plans.
• Assesses the impact of proposed regulations on finances, industry, the public, and the environment.
• Monitors pollution prevention, compliance, and auditing efforts.
• Works with regulatory bodies to resolve compliance issues, establish permits, and assist in audits.
• Represents the company in government and industry rule-making activities.
• Ensures corrective actions for environmental, health, and safety hazards.
• Identifies and addresses potential health or safety threats, including recommending changes to methods, processes, or materials, inspecting work environments, and investigating incidents.
• Influence other functions and businesses to gain cooperation and alignment.
• Promotes employee awareness/training on environmental, health, and safety matters.

Key Skills & Experience  

• Bachelor’s level 8 Engineering or Science degree. 
• A post graduate qualification in Environmental and/or Environmental, Health and Safety, an advantage. 
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant EHS experience with 5+ years of managerial experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
• Pharmaceutical, Chemical, or medical devices industry background an advantage. 
• Detailed knowledge of legislation and ability to interpret and translate such information into site policy and procedures. 
• Good communication skills and computer skills essential. 
• Good attention to detail with ability to problem solve.
• Requires broad management knowledge to lead project teams in one department.
