YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Provide day-to-day financial support to client partners and activation leads and assist with business management at the client and project level. 
  • In coordination with the legal team, maintain and track client contracts for month end close and ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies. 
  • Partner with the senior client teams and sales in pricing client proposals, assisting in responding to RFP/Is and the development of budgets to maintain margins as needed. 
  • Reviewing all new and renewal client contracts as assigned and monitoring contractual relationships with clients to ensure compliance with all commercial and compensation terms.
  • Maintaining and managing accurate data for clients in financial systems and reporting templates regularly. 
  • Actively present any issues forward with additional data reporting or presentations if needed to the Director and propose solutions to resolve concerns. 
  • Prepare month-end revenue recognition schedules and journal entries along with preparing client variance analysis. 
  • Lead client profitability meetings with C-level executives, with the ability to explain low and high margin accounts. 
  • Collaborate with business partners to build robust financial models to support strategic planning, facilitate decision-making, and provide recommendations and analysis to management
  • Support the forecasting, month end close and annual budgeting process with focus areas on client profitability, revenue and gross margin with the client teams. 
  • Proactively monitor projects, estimates and rate cards to ensure accuracy as well as project activity
  • Liaise with DEPT entities on intercompany transactions inclusive of reviewing and helping to set up intercompany contracts, pricing for cross sells and negotiation of rates. 
  • Improve and automate existing processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist in audits, including client, internal DEPT and external financial
  • Partner with the Director, Resource Management and Operations on special projects and initiatives. 
  • Proactively report on client and business lines trends such as attrition analysis, gross margin issues, etc. 
  • Additional support as needed from the Director related to operationalizing the finance department and client finance. 

 

YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business preferred
  • 3+ years experience, with at least 2 years experience in Client/Commercial Finance within an Agency or Professional Services Firm. 
  • Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting principles and their practical application related to revenue accruals preferred (ASC 606, IFRS 15). 
  • Experience in with Financial Systems such as Anaplan and Netsuite
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel skills; Experience with Google Product Suite software applications is a plus. 
  • Forward thinking - challenges the status quo and proactively and creatively identifies opportunities for improvement
  • Ability to effectively work and communicate with finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Able to effectively manage workload, prioritize and streamline tasks to ensure accuracy and take “ownership-mentality” in work/clients/practices
