About the role
Support complex network technologies through defined day-to-day BAU activities.
*This is a 2nd shift position with an estimated schedule of 11am-8pm CST.*

Key Responsibilities
- Work to completion on incidents, problems, and requests as required.
- Seek out and actively review network configurations to ensure they remain optimized and functional, while providing near real-time corrections to the enterprise environment.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnoses of system problems and failures.
- Use available tools to quickly resolve issues and limit impact to active incidents in a sometimes-high-energy environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively to large groups, regarding actions taken and identified root cause(s) of event(s).
- Recommend and implement preventative maintenance, technical changes and/or upgrades of the network environment, in accordance with corporate network standards and best practices for continuous improvement.
- Provide 2nd-tier support for a broad range of network technologies and serve as a team escalation point for those same technologies, providing troubleshooting and resolution leadership for any related issues.
- Assist and guide peers to develop highly reliable solutions.
- Create and improve processes, procedures, and supporting documentation to enhance the team’s ability to fully support the network.
- Review, distribute and communicate documentation with the necessary teams.
- Provide vendor engagement and proper interaction with the necessary teams. Strong desire to leverage available training to improve personal skillsets, with a focus of team enhancement and to help in advancing personal career.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- 2-3+ years of problem/incident management and troubleshooting experience within a technology operations environment.
- 3+ years of Network Security technologies experience in several of the following areas: F5 Experience in the following: LTM; GTM; APM; and ASM, Palo Alto Firewall experience, DNS/DHCP/IP Management – troubleshooting experience.
- Understanding of Infrastructure cabling, firewalls, load balancer’s, switches, routers, and SDWAN technologies .
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously with great attention to detail, urgency, focus and discipline.
- Confident and comfortable taking the lead during troubleshooting or recovery scenarios.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with ability to collect and present meaningful system statistics and other metrics.
- Experience provisioning and maintaining network technology hardware and software.
- Knowledge in Cloud-based Network Security technologies.

- Cisco Wireless - Prime - Catalyst Center(DNA Center)
- Route/Switching Protocols BGP – OSPF - EIGRP - Tunneling DMVPN - GRE – IPSEC
- Cloud Compute AWS – Azure
- Experience using Service Now for Incident/Change/Problem Management.
- Familiarity with automation and scripting tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
