This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

Summary

HII’s Mission Technologies division is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions that advance national security and defense objectives. This position is part of our Cyber and Intelligence division, which plays a critical role in supporting Enterprise-Level Security and Modernization efforts across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, physical facilities, and personnel operations. The selected candidate will contribute to a high-impact government program focused on enhancing and securing mission-critical systems and environments. The program is scheduled to launch in early 2026 and due to the classified nature of the mission and the sensitivity of the operational environment, an active TS/SCI security clearance will be required.

 

 

Security Assistant 1 | Salary: $36,920.00 - $44,000.00
Security Assistant 2 | Salary: $40,562.00 - $58,000.00
Security Assistant 3 | Salary: $48,139.00 - $70,000.00
Security Assistant 4 | Salary: $61,199.00 - $83,000.00

What You Will Do

• Produces employee and guest badges, identification cards, and security reader cards.
• Processes security information and data for employment records, security clearances, and property control.
• Collects and submits electronic fingerprints, handprints and optical reading into systems.
• Maintains lock and key records.
• Processes visit authorizations for employees and guests to gain access to restricted areas.
• Verifies accuracy of information prior to issuing clearances.
• Maintains controlled security documents and information.

What We Are Looking For: Minimum Qualifications

• Security Assistant 1 - 0 years relevant experience with High School Diploma or equivalent
• Security Assistant 2 - 2 years relevant experience with High School Diploma or equivalent
• Security Assistant 3 - 4 years relevant experience with High School Diploma or equivalent
• Security Assistant 4 - 6 years relevant experience with High School Diploma or equivalent
• Active TS/SCI government security clearance required to start

Preferred: Bonus Points For

• Relevant industry certifications (as applicable)
• Prior experience in defense, aerospace, or government contracting
• Proficiency with specialized tools or software aligned to the role
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
