As a Sr. Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) supporting our Manufacturing and Quality business units, you will be trusted to work on proactively solving HR issues and implementing policies that align with the business needs at our Houston, TX campus.

The Sr. HRBP will be responsible for implementing strategic and other enterprise-wide initiatives and HR programs to support Alcon associates, including compensation, performance, employee relations and engagement, culture, and talent development initiatives.  

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Defining strategies, including staffing, talent placement, compensation, roles, and responsibilities, and solve sophisticated interpersonal challenges through people-related solutions.

• Working with business leaders to solve any people and cultural issues, providing expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of employment including hiring, termination, performance management, rewards, etc.

• Supporting the talent aspects of organization structure changes, talent integration related to mergers & acquisitions.

• Discussing the business value of HR initiatives, leading HR program roll out to minimize business disruption

• Aligning with business and talent management on key initiatives such as workforce planning, hi-potential employee development, interpersonal planning, etc.

• Partnering with managers and associates to deliver core HR services.

• Delivering Alcon’s core HR services and people processes (e.g. OTR, PMP), and ensures an optimal associate experience

• Driving business success by coaching and advising teams on associate experience initiatives, such as Associate Experience Dashboard, Recognition programs, etc.

• Ensuring timely execution of all people-related processes​

• Coaching business leaders and associates on all HR-related topics (e.g. change management, talent management, employee relations, career development, etc.)

• Utilizing workforce analytics and insights to improve people and workforce management.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)

• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

• 5 Years of Demonstrable Experience

• Demonstrable ability to grasp and understand the business, key drivers and related people.

• Strong critical thinking capabilities.

• Outstanding analytical skills with effective judgment and decision making capabilities.

• Experience working within a regulated environment and adhering to Federal, State and local legal requirements as they relate to management and reducing legal risks.
