AGENCY SUMMARY
The Service Oklahoma (SOK) mission is to ease the stress in navigating government services by providing a best-in-class customer experience. We are Oklahomans helping Oklahomans by providing driver license and motor vehicle services on behalf of the state.
The Service Oklahoma offers a generous benefits package, including a benefits allowance to off-set the costs of medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans. The Service Oklahoma will match up to 7% towards an employee’s Defined Contribution retirement plan. Our employees receive 11 paid holidays, 15 days of paid annual leave, which increases with every 5 years of service, and 15 days of paid sick leave. Additionally, employees will receive longevity payments based on their years of service with the State of Oklahoma.
POSITION SUMMARY
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The job duties of this position may include responsibilities listed below.
- Conduct transactional audits of licensed operators and determine statutory and procedural compliance.
- Analyze and verify reports submitted by licensed operators and make necessary documentary and/or monetary adjustments.
- Auditor should be able to investigate and analyze relevant legal and policy issues.
- Prepare audit reports documenting conclusions of audits and provide recommendations.
- Resolve audits and bring licensed operators into compliance.
- Identify persistent error trends and report those trends immediately to management.
- Participate on a phone bank and answer phone calls and emails on a daily basis.
- As needed, perform other work assignments within the Section, Division or Agency.
- Assist less knowledgeable employees in the section as needed. Perform additional duties that require more experience and knowledge and assist in training of new employees. (Auditor II and III)
- Assist in training new licensed operators as needed. (Auditor II)
- Review other employees completed audits for accuracy, completeness and compliance with statutory law, rules and procedures and communicate to supervisor. (Auditor III)
- Review and update division policy and procedures to reflect needs of Service Oklahoma. (Auditor III)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Knowledge of
- Bookkeeping practices and standards
- Financial statements, ledgers, journals and reports;
- Analytical principles;
- Modern office methods and procedures, including computer technology related to accounting systems.
- Ability is required to
- Work independently with limited instruction/supervision; ( Auditor II and III)
- Review and analyze accounting records and business practices;
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others;
- Communicate effectively.
- Participate in various types of audits and complete required reports and comprehend and carry out complex accounting, auditing and fiscal procedures. (Auditor III)
- Perform a wide range of audit functions and perform highly independent work. (Auditor III)
