The Provider Care Team Prescription Advocate helps to support our RDH members with their high-cost, specialty, and non-formulary medications to create a WOW experience by surrounding them with support to help find options that will save the member time and money.

 What You’ll Do as a Prescription Advocate

• Communication with members regarding medication assistance needs
• Detailed documentation in EMR
• Provide real-time solutions for members facing medication processing challenges at the pharmacy.
• Review daily prescription reports to identify opportunities for pharmacy redirection, high cost medications, and cost-saving alternatives.
• Research and offer members cost-saving options whenever possible through the following avenues:
• • Manufacturer vouchers
  • Patient Assistant programs
  • Canadian pharmacy research
  • Communication with the members medication prescriber to discuss possible alternative medications that could be a lower cost option
• Collaborate closely with Redirect Health Providers to develop strategic solutions to high-cost prescriptions.
• Work within a dynamic, team-oriented environment focused on creating the best possible member experience.

What We’re Looking For

• High School diploma, or equivalent (GED), required.
• 1 Year of experience in a Customer Service related role, Required.
• 1 year of telephonic customer service, Preferred.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft word, Excel, and an Electronic Medical Record system, Preferred.
• A commitment to compassionate, team-centered care.
• Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation, preferred.
