Hostler Supervisor CAP

Knowledge and Experience:

• CDL with P endorsement
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Excel, word, and email skills
• Ability to efficiently interact with and use Trapeze, Hexagon, Viriciti Telematics, and other transit related and business programs

Skills:

• Computer savvy with working knowledge of relevant Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solving
• Must be reliable
• Must work efficiently on team
• Must have positive attitude
• Good communication skills
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, kneel, push, and pick up items up to 50 lbs.

Key Accountabilities:

• Coordinate service writers and hostlers to ensure adequate number of vehicles are available for service when needed
• Ensure vehicles are properly assigned to routes
• Manage activities on the yard to ensure a safe operation
• Assist operators with pull-out and pull-in activities
• Coordinate hostler activities to meet business need to move fleet vehicles
• Develop and implement processes and procedures
• Coordinate yard activities with OCC, Operations, Maintenance, Service Island, Non-Revenue, 3rd party vendors, safety, security, training depts.
• Ensures electric buses are charged and ready for service each day
• Coordinates, assigns, and monitors tasks for hostlers
• Develops staff
