Your Mission 

Join our team as a Customer Engineer at SADA and play a pivotal role in guiding clients through their journey with Google Cloud services. As a Customer Engineer, you will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and sales teams to design, prototype, and advocate for Google Cloud solutions. Your mission will be to partner directly with clients, Google teams, and sales representatives to qualify opportunities, craft proposals, and ensure the successful execution of contracts and engineering initiatives.

Work collaboratively with architects and engineers to design, prototype, and inspire clients with Google Cloud services. Partner with sales teams, Google, and clients to qualify engagements, create robust proposals, and deliver contracts for successful execution. Be hands-on, conduct experiments, and build prototypes to validate solutions and build client confidence.

You focus on doing what is best for the client. You consult and guide – in a prescriptive manner.

Act as a trusted advisor and advocate, focusing on solving real-world problems with Google Cloud. Engage with diverse internal stakeholders and clients to understand and meet their technical needs.Stay informed on industry trends and technologies, continually learning and adapting to share insights and innovations with clients and the team.

Expectations

Required Travel - Please expect about 25% travel to client sites, conferences, and other related events. 

 

Client Facing - You will interact with clients on a regular basis, often daily, other times weekly/bi-weekly. Common touch points occur when qualifying potential opportunities, throughout the sales motions, and periodically through the lifecycle of a client account. You can expect to interact with a range of client stakeholders, including engineers, technical project managers, and executives.

 

Onboarding/Training - The first several weeks of onboarding are dedicated to learning and will encompass learning materials/assignments and compliance training, as well as meetings with relevant individuals. Details of the timeline are shared closer to the start date. 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years with cloud-native architecture in a customer-facing or support role. At least five years in vendor pre-sales cybersecurity, including threat detection, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, SIEM, or SOAR.
  • Proficiency in various IT technologies and security solutions, including SIEM, NGFW, Proxy, IDS/IPS, DLP, EDR, A/V, WAF, and SOAR. Knowledge of cybersecurity trends, industry frameworks (e.g., MITRE, NIST), and hacking tools/methodologies.
  • Experience in infrastructure modernization, application development, and data engineering within cloud environments (Google Cloud is preferred, but others like AWS, Azure, etc., are acceptable).
  • Experience in technical consulting, conducting design sessions, architecting solutions, and aligning strategies with business goals.
  • Experience in technical pre-sales, including services scoping, technical demos, and running proof of value engagements
  • Excellent problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively to a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Google Professional level Certifications and other industry certifications.
  • Specific experience with Google Cloud Security products and services
  • Experience implementing security solutions for enterprises, understanding market trends, and familiarity with industry frameworks.
  • Ability to deliver technical presentations, manage proposals, and maintain strong client relationships.
