About the role

The Strategic Projects Manager is responsible for executing and managing a portfolio of complex projects related to distribution center operation and efficiency, and supply chain execution in general. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project completion, adhere to timeline and scope requirements, and successfully execute programs while communicating regularly to internal and external stakeholders. The Project Manager shall demonstrate cross-functional leadership in order to balance commercial, operational and technical priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Compiling, analyzing, and providing solution-based recommendations for key stakeholders’ decision-making by leveraging multiple business systems / tools, metrics, reports and/or processes.
  • Developing and implementing project plans including change management and end-user adoption/education.
  • Enable data-driven discovery and decision-making to collaborate with key stakeholders for business process improvements.
  • Implementing, participating, and coordinating in and across supply chain on various projects and initiatives geared towards improved distribution center (DC) processes and data maturity, production transfer, and inventory simplification.
  • Extract data across multiple source systems to consolidate information into a single source for consumption and/or distribution resulting in actionable communication as needed.
  • Collaborate and influence significant improvements of processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of the Supply Chain areas.
  • Consolidate and analyze large, internal data sets from multiple sources. Lead collaboration between systems, tools and information and cross-functional teams to identify and implement business process improvement opportunities to identify and analyze data and troubleshoot issues resulting in improved business performance.
  • DC operations simplification by analyzing and transferring value added lines, late customization activities (light assembly) out of the DC operations scope, back to established NILFISK production sites.
  • Generating, presenting, and influencing executive management level reports, training, and/or communications
  • Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function and external suppliers.
  • Effectively communicate system and process changes to the team and stakeholders while successfully influencing positive change.

Qualifications - Required Skills:

  • 10+ years' experience in Supply Chain (SC), Operations, Engineering, IT, Quality, Finance, Logistics, and/or Contracts.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience to lead a project that requires finding solutions along the way through an iterative, collaborative, co-creation approach.
  • Previous experience in SC optimization, inventory optimization, warehouse/distribution center transfer projects.
  • Ability to lead multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Curious about and open to multicultural teamwork with colleagues from the USA, China, Mexico, Hungary, Italy and Denmark.

Qualifications - Desired Skills:

  • Experience in SC data analytics or in a Production or Manufacturing function that collaborates with Supply Chain and heavily utilizes SC  data analytics.
  • Preferred if candidate has experience with machinery production, assembly processes, daily operations as well as transferring such processes, new product launch.
  • Proven ability to present complex data to senior and executive leadership conveying key points and obtaining concurrence for next steps.
  • Innovative change agent with the ability to stay organized and to manage multiple high priorities and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Strong Business Acumen / Business Intelligence and ability to turn data into usable information.
  • Advanced user in MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Microsoft Project, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a network of technical peers, business partners and customers to achieve objectives.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work within changing circumstances and keep abreast of the latest developments in the field by continuous learning and proactively champion promising new methods relevant to the problems at hand.
  • Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and make good technical and business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and manage objectives effectively.
  • Familiarity in SAP and/or LN is a plus.
  • Lean or Six Sigma Specialist/Expert is a plus.
