Join the team at the Quincy Kroc Center, where health and wellness meet community impact. We're looking for an organized, energetic Fitness Assistant to support the daily operations of our Fitness Department - helping to keep programs running smoothly, events well-coordinated, and members motivated to reach their goals.
This behind-the-scenes role is perfect for someone who loves fitness and enjoys keeping things organized. You'll assist the Fitness Manager with schedules, communications, program materials, and event coordination - while being part of a mission-driven team that makes a real difference in people's lives every day.
Pay & Schedule
- Rate of Pay: $17.36 - $21.71 per hour, based on education and experience exceeding the minimum requirements.
- Schedule: 25 hours per week, primarily Monday-Friday with variable hours. Occasional evening and weekend availability may be needed to support programs and events.
- Support the daily operations of the Fitness Department, ensuring classes, programs, and events run seamlessly.
- Help organize schedules, update communications, and prepare materials for group fitness, recreation, and training programs.
- Collect and track program data like attendance, usage, and event participation.
- Keep fitness and recreation equipment inventories up to date.
- Assist in creating flyers, updating information boards, and posting to the Kroc Fit Facebook group.
- Help plan, set up, and capture photos for fitness events and challenges.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college in Recreation, Exercise Science, or related fields is a plus.
- Strong organization and time management skills - you like keeping things in order!
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office and learning new systems.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
