Senior Distance/ eLearning Design Specialist

Team Carney is seeking a Senior Distance/eLearning Design Specialist to support a government client in the Intelligence area.   Our Senior Specialists  instructional designers interview SMEs, write instructional content, create storyboards, and then develop the storyboards into interactive eLearning experiences. They may also develop job aids, facilitator guides, slide decks, and other learning deliverables.

This position is FULL TIME and ON SITE in the Washington DC area.
Active TS/SCI Clearance Required.  

Responsibilities:

• Provide e-Learning instructional systems design services to create blended and on line courseware or templates for virtual classroom environments.
• Apply knowledge of education principles and distance learning concepts, graphic design, and electronic teaching techniques to determine the subject matter, goals, length, approach, and instructional media that can be most effective in accordance with customer requirements.
• Follow ADDIE instructional systems design process to develop an instructional/design plan, storyboards, and final eLearnng products.
• Test courseware products in the learning management system test environment.
• Apply knowledge and expertise of Blackboard and Captivate or other appropriate eLearning devices and applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Minimum of six (6) years' experience without an appropriate degree and practical-level knowledge and expertise of instructional design processes and terminology related to distance/elearning 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in appropriate field (e.g., Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Learning/Andragogy) from an accredited college or university and 2 years experience working with distance/eLearning training programs
