Job Description
Experian is looking for a Sr. Data Scientist with credit bureau data and programming skills to join their CIS Analytic Consulting group. In this role you will collaborate with team members in delivering best in class consulting and strategy innovation via data-driven exploratory analysis. The candidate is required to use advanced programming and analytical skills to solve a variety of complex business problems across multiple industries and through all phases of the consumer credit lifecycle (prospecting, acquisition, portfolio management, and collections).
Key Responsibilities:
• Leverage your analytical skills and experience to evaluate, understand and interpret credit bureau data.
• Develop machine learning models using latest techniques and methodologies
• Optimize existing code and develop new algorithms to improve the processing time of analysis in a true Big Data environment.
• Serve as internal SME in Python and Spark coding on a Big Data platform for an analytic consulting team.
• Communicate with and deliver presentations to end users on model deployment and monitoring results.
• Produce testing to support the implementation of machine learning models into a production.
• Aid in analytical support for high profile modeling, analytical and machine learning engagements and initiatives.
• Support the development of new analytical and data products and services to support business objectives.
• Collect business requirements and make recommendations on machine learned based solutions.
Qualifications
• Degree, preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years related experience, preferably in Financial Services.
• Strong knowledge of statistical analysis software / data analysis experience including data manipulation, including experience in Python and Spark.
• Proven track record for leading and executing complex analytical projects and new product development from concept to final delivery.
• Expert analytical skills to evaluate understand and interpret data.
• Experience solving challenging business problems with significant business impact.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas and analysis results effectively both verbally and in writing to both a technical and non-technical audience.
• Excellent communication, organization, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and education. This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, life and disability insurance, generous paid time off including paid parental and family care leave, an employee stock purchase plan and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
