Perficient is seeking a motivated UX Researcher with a commitment to understanding customer behaviors and challenges (analysis), market trends and exemplars (research), and user experience efficacy (testing) to deliver great customer experience at all points of the customer’s journey.
The UX Researcher will work across multiple product workstreams to uncover insights from audience and market research that will drive innovative approaches to customer experience. This role will work at the direction of product leadership and strategy to examine specific UX problems by leveraging and augmenting customer journeys and identifying best-in-class examples through secondary conceptual research. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the UX/UI design team to provide insights and recommendations and then validate concepts through moderated and unmoderated usability testing.
This position is available immediately, and the selected candidate can work remotely from any location in the continental United States.
- Understand and interpret customer experience measurements with a CX Strategist.
- Analyze research results and findings.
- Support projects that enhance the understanding of target audience(s) and the competitive landscape.
- Perform secondary market research to drive conceptual design.
- Participate in virtual sessions to facilitate customer journey mapping and user flow creation in the context of specific UX problems.
- Collaborate in defining customer use cases and translating needs into business requirements.
- Plan and facilitate moderated and unmoderated usability testing to validate user experience design.
- Utilize data gathering platforms, including Qualtrics (quantitative) and User Interviews (qualitative.)
- Escalate project and client concerns to project and leadership teams, as needed.
- The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience supporting CX, customer journey, personalization, or human centered design efforts.
- Knowledge of core CX activities, including customer research, strategy, vision, design, testing, etc.
- Proven ability to analyze research to unlock relevant insights, including customer feedback and research, behavioral analytics, and other qualitative and quantitative metrics.
- Experience developing personas, experience maps, customer journey maps, and/or service blueprints.
- Experience performing both moderated and unmoderated usability testing.
- Ability to work independently and with teams consisting of varied client and project stakeholders.
- An eye for innovation and solid understanding of market trends.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational, verbal, presentation, visual, storytelling and written communication skills.
- Growth mindset, with intention to develop skills, experiment, and learn from errors.
- Bachelor's degree or greater is required.
The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $45,864 to $101,520. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
