Job Responsibilities:
• Provides excellent chair-side four handed dentistry support to Attendings, Residents and Hygienists performing the full range of general dentistry procedures which includes, but not limited to, greeting and seating patients, charting and operatory set-up, taking impressions, making temporaries, schedule appointments and appropriate sterilization of instruments and clean-up.
• Takes electronic dental radiographs/x-rays when prescribed along with all other dental assisting tasks.
• Educates patients on their treatment plans as well as maintaining their oral health.
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate professionally both orally and in writing.
• Establishes positive relationships with our team and patients.
• Understands common dental terminology and materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Dental Assisting Certification or prior on the job training preferred.
Experience: 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates.
• CPR Certification required, will provide training if necessary
• Nitrous Oxide Certification required, will provide training if necessary
• Familiar with Electronic Recordkeeping Dentrix knowledge preferred
• Provide exceptional patient care and customer service.
