Job Description

Please note: Must be local or willing to relocate to Utah; willing to work in office 3-4 days a week

Come help us herd cats!  We are growing fast.  The business is doing new things, and our teams need sound procurement and contracts guidance integrated into their decision-making processes.  We need someone rooted in his/her understanding of the legal operations process who can creatively help address the issues that confront a growing tech company.  And yes, we are a tech company – not just a crafting or scrapbook company. Cricut’s Legal Operations Department is growing and looking for a high-performing Legal Operations Analyst to join our team.  In this role, you will report to our Head of Legal Operations. You will assume a wide range of responsibilities, all of which will require critical thinking, innovation, and integrity. We are looking for someone with impeccable attention to detail, high energy, strong project management skills, and a positive attitude.  The primary functions of this position center around all things Legal Operations - contracts, spend, vendor due diligence, as well as alignment with procurement and often serving as the main conduit between the Legal Team and all other internal business partners.  The position will require a quick learner who is willing to get in, take ownership of distinct processes, and do anything necessary to best support the various needs of our key internal business partners.

Key responsibilities include

  • Spend/Financial Management
    • Kick-off and monitor all Purchase Order (PO) submissions within company system
    • Assist cross-functional business partners through the PO process, serving as designated point of contact for most PO-related inquiries
    • Obtain and document necessary company & managerial approvals necessary for PO spend
    • Partner with FP&A and Finance team members to track applicable data points (budget vs. actual, correct cost center allocation, asset code needs, etc.)
  • Contract Management
    • Manage Contract Review Request process, coordinating among various stakeholders, contract professional colleagues, and the greater Legal team.
    • Generate reports for contract sponsors, upon request; generate monthly tracking reports
    • Provide fly-by assistance to cross-functional business partners on behalf of the Legal team
    • Coordinate with Contracts Team, Attorneys, and others to ensure contracts are negotiated, signed, and finalized in time for necessary deadlines
    • Assist with contract auto-renewals and expirations, coordinating with budget owners and Legal Team on related PO needs
  • Vendor Due Diligence
    • Obtain required information and documentation for New Vendor set-up process
    • Assist with Vendor Due Diligence in all related systems
    • Kick-off & monitor Contractor Onboarding requests
    • Help build and deepen due diligence systems and processes
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Properly train and continually educate business partners on legal/PO/contract processes
    • Monitor team e-mail inbox(es) and coordinate/escalate, as necessary
    • Maintain internal intranet site(s), including drafting team highlights, FAQs, and more
    • Other support, as requested
