Provides leadership on key training programs/projects and strategic development initiatives within the company. Develops plans and leads cross-functional teams to ensure all elements of the training programs are on track. Facilitates regular updates with leadership and other key stakeholders.
Evaluates, develops, and maintains the continuing technical and operational training needs and facilitates the Wells learning management system. Designs and introduces instructional tools and materials to enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities for employee development and performance improvement in the organization's technical roles/trade groups and operational groups. Facilitates external OEM and industry expertise to further develop and enhance skills training across the enterprise.
- Organize operational and technical programs and activities per the organization's strategic initiatives and goals. Develop execution plans for the programs.
- Develop, champion, and communicate best practices for operational and technical training and process management across the organization to deliver against strategic and financial plans effectively. Apply change, risk, and resource management.
- Evaluate methods to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement. Develop and control deadlines, budgets, and activities.
- Influence teams with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities. Work on strategy with cross-functional teams.
- Effectively leads and facilitates cross-functional project team meetings and acts as a coach, helping the team to execute the process and remove their roadblocks. Provide clear communication and keep projects moving toward completion by escalating decision points, proactively flagging issues, and problem-solving.
- Drive communications that provide easy and transparent messages regarding project issues and decisions. Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Drive program leadership by reporting the program's health to senior management and key stakeholders. Ensure that program status, issues, and successes are documented and communicated. Creates status reports and budget reconciliation and shares key project information with key stakeholders.
- Facilitates external OEM and industry expertise to further develop and enhance skills training across the enterprise.
In addition to the abovementioned responsibilities, your supervisor may assign other duties dictated by business necessity.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Training, and Development, Education or Organizational Development, or Project Management required. Project Management Certification (PMP) is a plus
- 2 - 4 years of proven experience in program/project management/change management/related fields.
- 5 - 7 years' experience in technical trades training preferred.
- Knowledge of the basics in mechanical, electrical, PLC, and shop-related trades knowledge is required. Knowledge of good manufacturing practices, safety policies and procedures, and manufacturing facilities and manufacturing practices. Knowledge of adult learning principles and theories. Understanding of effective performance management process.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation skills. Strong organizational, project management, planning, and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively respond to employee, supervisor, and manager inquiries. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Internet, and standard business software programs and applications.
- Positively influence and motivate others, effective coach/mentor to others, capable of building effective teams to drive program/project results. Excellent problem-solving ability. Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Competency in HCM and Smartsheet. Ability to travel to all Wells facilities when needed.
