About the role

Who You Are

The individual hired into this role will participate in a research group focused on investigative Immunology and the development and method transfer and/or in house implementation of Immunological assays that support Kriya’s current and exploratory programs.  This includes the development, optimization, potential qualification, and execution of assays in support of non-clinical and clinical development of AAV-based products or evaluation of novel models and assays designed to evaluate immunogenicity or pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic profiles. Clinical and/or non-clinical sample analysis experience or clinical biomarker assay development/translational sciences experience is required. Experience in one or more immunologic assay type including but not limited to experience in ex vivo cell based assays and evaluation of immune responses or marker expression by either flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, or immunohistochemistry is required. Additionally, this role will oversee a small team of scientists that will develop methods and data to support immunology-based questions or identify potential biomarkers in support of Kriya’s pipeline. The ideal individual for the role will be highly organized with attention to detail and a passion for learning and be highly adaptable.  This individual will work closely with other team members to execute the assays and support data analysis and presentation as needed.  This role will provide the individual the opportunity to grow and develop while advancing Kriya’s pipeline from research into clinical phase development.

How You Contribute

  • Lead biological project to implement, develop and qualify immunological assays including but not limited to ELISA, MSD, immunocytochemistry, fluorescent microscopy and flow cytometry under direction of project leader.
  • Conduct non-clinical and clinical sample analysis as directed in support of pharmacology and translational studies to support program stage gate decision making
  • Help identify or evaluate potential biomarkers in support of Kriya’s pipeline targets
  • Assist and may lead assay transfer to contract research organizations (CROs) and/or other labs in support of nonclinical and/or clinical studies
  • Perform data analysis using appropriate software (such as SoftMax, Prism, etc.)
  • Responsible for documentation of all project work in appropriate electronic and/or paper-based laboratory systems
  • Responsible for reagent sourcing, receipt, storage, inventory and preparation as directed
  • Responsible for maintenance of laboratory instrumentations as directed
  • Collaborate with other scientists and routinely present data
