Summary:
The Senior Director of Learning and Engagement is responsible for ensuring a culture at The People Concern, where all employees are aligned to the mission and contributing to the Vision 2028, our goal of housing 20,000 people by 2028. To do this, the Senior Director of Learning and Engagement will lead teams that are responsible for employee experience, employee engagement, internal communications, learning, and professional development. The Senior Director of Learning and Engagement will work cross-functionally to support agency-wide initiatives and problem-solving and will be responsible for leading systems of continual organizational learning and improvement. This position will report to the CDEIO, with strong collaboration with the COO and CHRO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• General
◦ Drives forward strategy and projects that reinforce the company’s core values and employee expected behaviors.
◦ Partners with executive leadership to articulate and continually improve the employee experience.
◦ Designs experiences that are intuitive, scalable, and aligned to TPC culture and priorities.
◦ Continuously assesses employee and manager pain points and champions operational excellence and process standardization.
◦ Utilizes a DEI lens to evaluate operations to ensure accessibility for all and that all staff are welcome, valued, and respected.
◦ Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
◦ Supervises the Senior Manager, Learning and Engagement, who manages the department coordinators.
• Learning
◦ Owns Learning Department professional development strategy and programs including New Employee Orientation, People Leader Orientation, People Leader Academy, People Concern University, Relias, In the Know at People Co, and Pro-ACT.
◦ Oversees leadership development strategy including LEEP, Leaders Growing, and Leadership Development Pods.
◦ Consults on all learning and training experiences, held by other departments/leaders, including the Case Manager Apprenticeship Program, Facilities Spanish Group, and Community Advisory Board.
◦ Ensures learning experiences and professional development are practical, scalable, and directly connected to organizational outcomes.
• Employee Experience/Employee Engagement
◦ Is responsible for the employee/manager relationship, supporting People Leader learning and development to ensure a consistent experience across departments.
◦ Ensures company support to allow all staff to be fully aligned with core values and expected behaviors.
◦ Builds an integrated employee experience that centers high-impact, efficient work flows and processes, including easily accessible support, tools, and information.
◦ Drives strategy for a robust calendar of employee engagement events and initiatives, including People Co Con, Day in the Park, Town Hall by Call, Kudos, etc.
◦ Oversees internal communications strategy, in coordination with the Employee Engagement team.
◦ Owns responsiveness to annual staff surveying.
◦ Ensures consistent messaging globally across all communication channels.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training in organizational development, education, project management, and communications.
• Must have a passion for learning and creating a collaborative environment for staff engagement and continuous improvement.
• Eight years’ experience in the delivery of social services and/or non-profit management. Experience in homeless services and domestic violence preferred.
• Excellent facilitation and conflict resolution skills, with demonstrated ability and comfort in facilitating trainings and workshops across tiers of leadership, including: Executive Leadership, Board, and Senior Leadership.
• Minimum five years’ experience supervising staff including evidence of strengths-based supervision with staff from a range of diverse experiences and identities.
• Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, business judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
