About the role

The Coordinator, Officiating is responsible for collaborating with the Manager and VP of Replay Training and Development to ensure consistency of communication to Replay Officials, Replay Assistants, Officiating staff and NFL clubs. The position will also have various administrative responsibilities across the Officiating Department.

Responsibilities

  • Provide significant administrative and operational support to the stakeholders in the Officiating and Replay department
  • Participate in weekly internal and cross-departmental meetings as a representative of the Officiating department.
  • Update and distribute internal contact lists and rosters.
  • Support preparation of briefing materials for meetings, clinics, conferences and other events, working across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Provide Game Day support within Art McNally Game Day Center during the preseason, regular season and postseason as directed by the Vice President of Replay.
  • Keep senior staff abreast on time-sensitive and priority issues, with appropriate follow-up.
  • Participate in Football Operations game and event duties as assigned by department including but not limited to Officiating Annual Clinic(s); preseason games; off-site, in-season and off-season staff meetings.
  • Support preparation of briefing materials for meetings, clinics, conferences and other events, working across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Assist with overall planning & organizing of NFL and College Officiating Clinics.
  • Oversight of GDA program and day to day communications. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2-3 years of experience in administration, communications, or operations at the collegiate and/or professional sports level
  • Demonstrate understanding of NFL officiating rules and game day football operations, specifically in instant replay and application of instant replay rules and mechanics.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and establish credibility in key internal and external relationships.

Travel

  • Less than 10% as required for Clinics and Meetings on an as needed basis.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

NFL employees are required to work at least 40 hours per week. This position will require additional hours on nights and weekends, especially during the football season.

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Salary $65,000$75,000 USD
