Job  Summary:

Responsible for the execution of export documentation requirements for shipments originating in the US to destinations globally, which include Letter of Credit shipments, commercial invoices, etc. Participation in special projects to improve distribution processes.

I. Efficient processing and shipments to ensure timely delivery and compliance with all regulations in regards to US customs
II. Ensure that all documentation meets export regulations and Follow documentation process for specific accounts, including customs regulations for specific countries.
III. Arrange details of shipments with forwarders, carriers as necessary for exports
IV. Responsible for Automated Export Systems filing.
V. Process shipments on FedEx and UPS system
VI. Adhere to all ISO Procedures and Work Instructions
VII. Specific and detailed documentation of customer orders
VIII. Work in team to meet customer requirements and ensure on time shipping.
Some special project requests from Management.
 

General Job Requirements:
1. Works scheduled holidays in order to maintain service levels for customers.
2. As business needs dictates, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory Saturdays.
3. Works scheduled hours and is ready to work at scheduled start times, notifies Supervisor prior to absence or tardiness in accordance with company policy.
4. Immediately informs Coordinator/Supervisor/Manager of safety, sanitation, and equipment malfunctions and concerns regarding quality issues.
5. Exhibits good communication skills – verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language.
6. Adhered to Standard Operating Procedures and Regulatory requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent organizational skills required for this fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Must have good attention to detail.

Experience:
• Minimum/verifiable Five (5) years experience in International Shipping including knowledge of universal shipping terms/procedures. Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associates degree preferred.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $21.00 and $22.50 per hour and may include cost of living adjustments.  The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future.  This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
